The Impact of War in Art, an Introduction

Juliana Hernandez
All the artists featured in my blog are ones whose work helped shape society and its people. Each artist in my blog illustrated the numerous effects of war and shows how war was seen through their eyes. Which is viewed in the paintings, "The Miseries of War" by Jacques Callot, "Los Desastres de la Guerra" by Francisco Goya, "The Trench Warfare" by Otto Dix, Picasso's mural "Guernica" and "The Face of War" by Salvador Dali. Altogether the paintings show how each artist reacted to war differently and expressed their own meaning of war through art.
